Ginger McCracken
MOBILE} Ginger McCracken, 76 passed away at her home in Mobile, Alabama on Sunday, June 3,2018. Ginger was born in York, Alabama on September 18, 1941. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Mahlon McCracken, her brother, William Webb (Helen), numerous in-laws, nieces, nephew, grand nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her mother, Virginia Treadaway Webb, her brother, Sam Webb, and her sister Jeanette Ivy.
Ginger was a gifted musician and a gifted crafter who made lovely, unique pillows from antique linens as well as her famous hair bows and Christmas angel ornaments. Ginger used her talents throughout her life to the glory of God. She was an active member of the Port City Craftsmen, Pilot Club, Zonta Club, Mobile Ostomy Club, Assistance League of Mobile and contributed 25 years of volunteer service to Mobile Infirmary Auxiliary. As a member of Dauphin Way Baptist, she started the Sewing for Sav-A-Life group to make items for the Women's Resource Center. he also started the Spring Expo to raise money for youth mission and she was a faithful member of the Thursday morning Ladies Bible Study.
Ginger's faith in God was an example to all who know her. She was a wonderful friend to many and she was a precious extension of Christ's love to everyone who knew her. As we say goodbye to Ginger, we remember that it is only for a little while. We will see her again for as christians we know that joy, that pervasive sense of our well being in the kingdom of God, is ours through Christ Jesus our Lord. She will be deeply and greatly missed.
