Wayne Broughton NORTHPORT Wayne Broughton, age 72, of Northport, died July 17, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Private burial will take place in Memory Hill Gardens. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Opal Broughton; his daughters, Carrie Cook (Destin) and Christy Cassel (Roger Davis); his sons, Todd Broughton (Angela) and Larry Broughton; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Sunil Chandra, Dr. Joseph Wallace, Tuscaloosa Lung & Sleep Center, nursing staff at DCH Regional Medical Center, and Carl Koster. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a trust fund set up for the family at Regions Bank in Northport.
