George Crawford

George Searcy Crawford, age 79, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died May 21, 2017 at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at Coaling Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Burkhalter officiating. Burial will follow in the Coaling Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Searcy was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Lucille Crawford. Survivors include his wife, Becky Crawford; daughters, Cindy Hester (Joe) Debbie Maddox, and son, Rick Crawford (Melanie); brother, Wayne Crawford (Patricia); step-daughters, Donna Boyd, Wendy Boyd, and Mandy Sealy; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Searcy retired from B.F. Goodrich and was a lifetime deacon at Coaling Baptist Church. He was a beloved father and Pop that enjoyed spending time with his family and Alabama football. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jason and Josh Corley, Caleb and Craig Crawford, and Cole and Harrison Sealy. Honorary pallbearers are grandson, Brayson Sealy and Coaling Baptist Church members. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Coaling Baptist Church building fund.
