Gene Allen Nelson

Gene Allen Nelson, age 79, of Coker, Ala., passed away September 11, 2023 at his residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Coker, Ala. with Bro. Tim Tindle officiating. Burial will follow in Hopewell-Rosehill Cemetery in Fayette County, Ala. with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Coker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Lucille Nelson; brothers, James Nelson and Hoyt Nelson; and infant son and daughter twins.

Survivors include his wife, Jewel; daughter, April Nelson; sons, Glen Nelson (Dianne) and Blake Nelson (Misty); sisters, Juanita Sanford, Jewel Dean Williams, and Caroline Murray; and grandchildren, Hunter Allen Nelson, Beau Caden Nelson, Anna Kate Nelson, and Ella Hope Nelson.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Nelson, Beau Nelson, Greg Nelson, Troy Williams, Wesley Murray, Lane Sanford, Dylan Hall, and Pat Phillips.
