Gary Richardson

Gary L. Richardson, age 57, of Coker, died Nov. 12, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Dr. Jimmy Wilson and Dr. Billy Joy officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Kennetha Richardson of Coker; daughter, Shea Wright (Chris); son, Nick Richardson (Holly); brothers, Ken Richardson (Rita), Mike Richardson (Donna), and Don Richardson; mother, Sara Richardson of Northport; and grandchildren, Logan Wright and Kayla Wright. Pop was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Known to many as "Big G,"� he loved to watch baseball no matter who was on the field. He lived every day to make sure everyone was happy and knew they were loved. He will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Hunter Richardson, Rob Richardson, Todd Richardson, Shane Wyatt, Stephen Pool, Brad Pool, Jamie Wilson, and Michael Whitt. Honorary pallbearers are employees of JBS Construction, University of Alabama electrical maintenance department, Dr. Curtis Tucker, Dr. John Dubay, and friends at Valley View Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Valley View Baptist Church Building Fund, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
