Frida Duncan, age 76, died July 9, 2017, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Duncan; her parents; sisters, Betty and Diana; and her brothers. She is survived by her son, Christopher Duncan (Carolyn) and her three grandchildren that were her heart, Bradley, Brandon and Ashley. Also, she is survived by niece, Terri Nicolai; two nephews, Craig Nicolai and Eric Nicolai; notwithstanding in-laws; great-nephews and nieces; cousins; and dear friends, Mike and Lynn LaFoy. Frida was born in San Pedro, Calif. and married Charles Duncan on July 26, 1963 to whom she was a devoted Navy wife for 22 years until Charles"� retirement. "Ma-maw"� to her grandkids was her favorite name to hear. Frida"�s love of dancing is once again fulfilled as she can now have that dance with her husband they both had longed for. Graveside services will be at Alabama National Cemetery at Montevallo, Alabama on Friday, July 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter, National Breast Cancer Foundation or American Heart Association.
