Freddie Joe Cooper Sr. | GORDO Freddie Joe Cooper, Sr., age 49, of Gordo, died May 16, 2011, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Bobby Sanford officiating. Burial will follow in Elrod Baptist Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Alma Cooper. Survivors include his wife, Ladonna H. Cooper; two sons, Freddie Cooper, Jr. and Stephen Cooper; sisters, Vera Campbell, Linda Johnson, Dot McCoy, Vie Sanford, and Annie Cooper; a brother, Perry Cooper, Jr.; and grandchildren, Landon, Abby, and Kyleigh. He was a loving husband, father, and Paw Paw and will be deeply missed. Pallbearers will be Bill Johnson, Mark Hall, Johnny Johnson, Wayne Cooper, Mark Hall, Jr., Chris Cooper, Richard Campbell, and Dale Ledlow. Honorary pallbearers are Joe and Eleanor Hall, David and Patty Nelson, Barney and Lorna Henly, Cowin and Co. Construction, UMWA Local #1867, Charles Smith, Benny Cannon, Barbra Ledlow, and Ricky Findley.
