Francine Deason McCray

Francine Deason McCray, age 95, of Tuscaloosa, Alabama passed away on April 22, 2024 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Chapel South with Bro. James Walker officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Burial will immediately follow at Memory Hill Gardens. Magnolia Chapel South is directing.

Francine is preceded in death by her husband Clarence W. McCray, daughter Shurra Watkins, son-in-law Jerry Watkins, parents Dewey and Nola Deason, granddaughter-in-law Teresa Watkins, great-great- granddaughter Rorie Jo McGill, sisters Lou Sherbert and Sylvia (Tibby) Eady, and brothers Oral and Harold Deason.

She is survived by her daughter Bonnie Barnett (Eber); grandchildren Marisa Booth (Chris), Mike Wilkins (Karen), Neilson Barnett (Melissa), Chris Watkins, Stephen Barnett (Madeline); great-grandchildren Chelsea Farley (Patrick), Will Booth (Macey), Kayla McGill (Phillip), Hunter Wilkins, Ashton Watkins, Camden Barnett, Linden Barnett, Dekker Barnett and Collin Barnett; step-great-grandson Gavin Nicols; great-great-grandchildren Aiden Booth and Stella Farley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Mike Wilkins, Neilson Barnett, Chris Watkins, Stephen Barnett, Will Booth, Hunter Wilkins, Ashton Watkins, Camden Barnett, Linden Barnett, Dekker Barnett and Collin Barnett. Active Pallbearers will be Mike Wilkins, Neilson Barnett, Chris Watkins, Stephen Barnett, Will Booth, and Hunter Wilkins. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Scott Fulgham, Members of Crosse Pointe Church, Sonny and Carolyn Deason, Gloria Flummer, Jimmy Crawford and Family (her longtime neighbors), Ray and Katie Wilkins, Kay Williams and Family, Carolyn Booth, Gina and Maddie Nix, The Landings of Northport Assisted Living, and Hospice of West Alabama.

In lieu of flowers the family asked that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama, St. Jude's Childrens Hospital, or Helping Hands Ministry of Taylorville Baptist Church.
