Fannie Mae Walker TUSCALOOSA | Fannie Mae Walker, age 85, of Tuscaloosa, died March 15, 2014, at Heritage Health Care. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Shiloh Baptist Church with Bro. Ricky Wallace and Bro. Steve Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be tonight, March 17, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Walker; son, J.C. Walker; parents, Allen and Cathleen Upchurch; and brothers, Cecil, Harvey, and James. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Channell (Ronnie); sons, William Walker (Amy), and Allen Walker (Karen); sisters, Earline Harper (Hardy), and Mary Ann Spencer (Larry); sisters-in-law, Betty Upchurch and Ernestine Upchurch; special friends Terrell Wheat (Ann); eight grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she worked in the church nursery for many years. She was a great cook and loved to serve her children. We loved mama and she loved us all as dearly as we loved her. She will be dearly missed. Pallbearers will be Lance Channell, Tyler Walker, Scott Walker, John Walker, Kerry Clark, Forrest Windham, John Tyler Walker, Brandon Wheat, and Jimmy Cork. Honorary pallbearers are friends and neighbors of Jena and Shiloh communities, Robert Channell, Heritage Health Care & Rehab, and Margaret Turner and Brenda Foster. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or Hospice of West Alabama.
