Evelyn Lucille Burroughs BUHL | Evelyn Lucille Burroughs, age 83 , of Buhl died December 27, 2017 at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be held at Magnolia Chapel North at 2:00pm with Larry Owen and Randy Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Calcedonia Cemetery in Buhl. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Lora McLure and Early Brooks Ferguson and seven siblings. Survivors include her husband John Edward Burroughs, daughters; Judy McLure, Shelley Johnson, and Diane Proffitt, sons; Jimmy Braden, and John Edward Burroughs, Jr., sister; Virginia Robinson, brother; Fain McLure, grandchildren; William and James Traylor, Angela, Nathan and Rueben Dean Braden, Jessica Cunningham, Rodney and Russell Proffitt, Melissa McNabb, and Rebecca and Jamie Burroughs, and 17 great grandchildren. Lucille was born in Arkansas, one of 10 children, she made her home in Buhl for 40 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a devote Christian and Loved the Lord and her church family. She loved doing things for others and most of all cooking for her family. Pallbearers will be James Traylor, Rueben Braden, Chase Cunningham, Drake Cunningham, Rodney Proffitt, Russell Proffitt, and Nathan Braden.
