Eva Pearl White NORTHPORT Eva Pearl White, age 90, of Northport, died May 6, 2013. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Dr. John Nixon Jr. officiating. Private graveside services will take place Sunday at Clear Springs Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Joe Clardy; her mother, Annie Pearl Clardy; her brother, Boyce Clardy; her sister, Maxine Elliot; her husband, J.D. White Sr.; her son, John David White; and Jeanie White Alexander. Survivors include her son, J.D. White Jr. (Kathy) of San Antonio, Texas; her sister, Jimmie Norwood of Greenwood, Miss.; her brother, Stennis Clardy of West Point, Miss.; her grandchildren, Marcale Sisk of Suttons Bay, Mich. and Jamie Powell (Kyle) of San Antonio, Texas; her great-grandchildren, Tierney Sisk of Manchester, N.H. and Aislynn and Cael Powell of San Antonio, Texas; and other relatives, Linda Waggoner of Daphne and Keely McGee of Birmingham. Eva Pearl was born in Oktibbeha County, Miss. Eva taught school for many years in Tuscaloosa County. She graduated from Delta State with a degree in education. She retired in 1985 and spent her time traveling in the RV with her husband, sewing, and playing cards. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Stephen Browne and staff, Amedisys Home Health Care, and friends and neighbors of Northwood Lake. A special thank you to Velma Wells and Barbra Dale for being her guardian angels. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one's favorite charity.
