Ettie Guin

Northport - Ettie Idona "Punk" McGee Guin, age 97 of Northport died January 4, 2018. Services will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church at 2:00pm with Rev. Jerry Montgomery, Rev. Glenn Kennedy officiating burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday January 6, 2018 at Magnolia Chapel North from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. She is preceded in death by her husband J.B. Guin, Jr., father; James F. McGee, mother; Ettie Duckworth McGee, grandson; Jason Guin, four sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her daughter; Betty Guin Walker (Benny) of Dallas, GA. , sons; Billy Guin of Northport, Jimmy Guin (Charlotte) of Northport, Morris Guin (Mary Ellen) of Berry, Terry Guin (Teresa) of Northport, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Punk loved bluegrass music, going to the Senior Citizens dances and cooking for her family. She would have celebrated her 98th birthday on January 8th. Pallbearers will be Rocky Montgomery, Donnie Guin, Mark Guin, Dr. Russ Guin, Alex Guin, Kendall Coats, and Chris White. Honorary pallbearers will be her many friends from dancing. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to; Mt. Hebron Cemetery Association - 17437 Highway 171 Northport, Alabama 35476.
