Estelle Barker Scheiner TUSCALOOSA | Estelle Barker Scheiner, age 75, of Tuscaloosa, died May 21, 2015, at Heritage Health and Rehab Center from Alzheimer's. A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North. A reception will be held immediately after the memorial service at Faucett Brothers Center, 13040 Eugenia Faucett Dr., Northport, Ala. Visitation will be one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernie Scheiner Sr.; parents, Felton Barker and Marjorie Burson; and brother, Morris Barker. Survivors include her son, Bernard Jr. (Glenda); daughter, Charlotte; grandchildren, Taylor Carnley (Kyle), Sydney Stripling, Emily Scheiner, and Andrea Scheiner. She was born in Los Angeles, California on September 25, 1939. Bernie and Estelle were married March 26, 1959. She was a 1958 graduate of Rancho High School, Las Vegas, Nev. She resided in Heritage Health and Rehab Center, of Tuscaloosa, Ala. for 11 years and Northport, Ala. for 25 years prior to her death. She was a member of the Church of Christ for 55 years and a former bible class teacher. Currently, she was a member of the Northwood congregation. Flowers may be sent to Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North or in lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Estelle Scheiner.
