Essie Rouse

Essie Skelton Rouse, age 84, of Fosters, Ala., passed away October 18, 2017. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Grants Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Mike Griffin and Bro. Don Springer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.M. and Susie Skelton; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Rouse; sons, Mike Keith, Craig Vail (Donna) and Curtis Vail; sister, Alta Hollingsworth (Bura); grandchildren, Dana Trimble (Daniel), Kristy Williams (Junior), Lindsay Bricken (Britt) and Christopher Vail (Amber); and six great-grandchildren. Essie had a devotion and love for Jesus and her family. She wants you to honor Christ with your life. Pallbearers will be Junior Williams, Christopher Vail, Siegfried Rogowski, Alan Rouse, Adam Smith and Joseph Smith. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama at 3851 Loop Road, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404.
