Emory Taylor Holcombe NORTHPORT | Emory Taylor Holcombe, age 93, of North-port, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2014, at his home. Services will be held at Carolwood Free Will Baptist Church on Sunday, March 2, 2014, with Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Visita-tion will begin at 1:00 p.m. with funeral services directly after at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery, 12191 Graceland Road (off Hwy 43), Northport with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Mr. Holcombe was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Pruett Holcombe. He is survived by his son, Larry Holcombe (Caprice), daughter, Patricia Jones (Larry), and their children Mi-chael, Lisa and Jason. He is also survived by his sister, Mary Bolen, granddaughter, Rhondia Liles (Andy) and three great-granddaughters Amanda, Taylor and Sarah Liles. Emory was an unfailingly generous person. He and Sarah were married for 62 years and owned several local busi-nesses. He lived a long, happy life and one of his greatest Joys was being a PawPaw. He will be buried in his customary overalls. He will be greatly missed. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lunceford, Andy Liles, Joey Martin, Guy Foster, Lomas Lat-ner and Zack Jones.
