Elsie L. Chandler TUSCALOOSA Elsie L. Chandler, age 80, of Tuscaloosa, died July 20, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Dr. Christopher Denson and Jane Darden officiating. Burial will follow in Magnolia Chapel Mausoleum with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, William O. Chandler; and parents, George and Sadie Lewis. Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Gault (Andy) and Georgette Neill (Chris); grandchildren, Greg Gault (Wendy), Geoff Gault (Allison), Amanda Sexton (Tyler), and Johnathan Neill (Theresa); and great-grandchildren, Jay and Chase Sexton and Abigail and Caroline Neill. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Clay Chandler, and Tyler Sexton. Honorary pallbearers are Dot and D.G. Elliott, Ruth and Ed Montgomery, Jane and Joe Darden, Rick Harbin, Kelsey and Bob Griffin, Hal and Janice Noble, Cynthia Stokes, Koinonia Sunday School Class, the staff at DCH Cancer Center, Dr. John Dubay, Dr. Phil Hemstreet, and all the wonderful ICU nurses and doctors who took care of her. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Forest Lake United Methodist Church.
