Elizabeth "Liz"� Oswalt Swindle, age 65, of Berry, died Sept. 30, 2011, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Tony Latham, Jerry Montgomery, and Earl Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bro. Clyde and Ruvin Oswalt; son, Chris Swindle; brothers, Donald and Wally Oswalt; and sister, Gwindle Phillips. Survivors include her husband, Armond Swindle; daughters, Donna Hickman (Mitchell) and Stephanie Swindle; son, Earl Johnson (Donna); sisters, Ceavlon Latham (Tony), Brenda Malone (Danny), and Becky Grimes; brothers, Curtis Oswalt (GeeGee) and John Oswalt (Annette); grandchildren, Brooke and Hunter Johnson, Baylee Fondren, Landon Swindle, Kristina Swindle, Jessica and Jamie Bynum, Hannah Cory, and Keith Hickman; and a host of loving and caring nieces and nephews. "Liz"� was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and special friend to all who knew her. She was an outspoken and humorous special lady. She was strong and fought a long and hard battle. As she said in the beginning, she was "a winner either way."� She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone. Pallbearers will be John Oswalt, Curtis Oswalt, Donnie Oswalt, Roger Phillips, Stanley Sandford, and Jimmy Lunceford. Honorary pallbearers are Gene Ray Taylor and Warrior Tractor, Carrollwood Free Will Baptist, Mt. Zion Free Will Baptist, Hospice of West Alabama, Bob Dunn, Leon and Minnie Grace Jones, Autrey Hannah (Flossie), Amy and Albert Lunceford, and friends and neighbors of the Oregonia and Samantha communities.
