Elizabeth Howell Lewis TUSCALOOSA Elizabeth Howell Lewis, age 78, of Tuscaloosa, died April 18, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Tim Plant and Rev. Frank Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Howell; her mother, Vittie Floyd; and her brother, Thomas Floyd. Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 10 years, Wallace Wade Lewis of Tuscaloosa; her daughter, Lisa Howell Pennington (Jim) of Northport; her sons, Jeffrey Floyd Howell (Dawn) of Gulf Shores and Ernest Michael Howell of Northport; her stepson, Wally Lewis (Kathy); and her grandchildren, Justin Williams (Christy), Noah Howell, Madeleine Howell, Holly Barnett, Russ Barnett, Jade Howell, Robert Lewis, Jessica Gates, Erica Gates, Clay Gates, Kayla Gates, Kendall Gates, Taylor Gates, Lydia Lewis, Jami Pennington, and Monica Pennington. On April 18, 2012, Mary Elizabeth Howell Lewis went to be home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and her sweet spirit. She had a wonderful gift of lighting up a room and making everyone feel so special. To our sweet mom, you will always be our heart. Your unwavering love and support has been our strength, an unfailing beacon in our brightest and our darkest moments. We will miss you so very much. Thank you for being a wonderful mother and grandmother. Pallbearers will be Mike Lamb, James Stewart, Noah Howell, Justin Williams, Donnie Thuesen, and David Geer. Honorary pallbearers are staff of Forest Manor Nursing Home, Billy and Elsa Thomas, Calvary Baptist Women's Sunday School Class, Shirly Howell, former coworkers at Bryce Hospital Dental Clinic, Tuscaloosa Ballroom Dance Club, Golden K Kiwanis, Skeet and Pat Boone, Diane Harris, and Dianne Howell.
