Truman Parker TUSCALOOSA Truman Parker, age 74, of Tuscaloosa, died Nov. 14, 2012, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with William Holly officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Bertha Parker; and his brothers, Ganus Parker, Bob Parker, and Billy Parker, all of Elrod. Survivors include his wife, Zelda Sanders Parker of Tuscaloosa; his daughter, Beth Parker-Colburn (Thomas) of Duncanville; and his sister, Nellie Faye Pate (Billy Ray) of Reform. He was born October 16, 1938, in Pickens County. He married Zelda S. Parker on July 17, 1965. He attended Holten Heights Church of the Nazarene and retired from DC Scientific Pest Control. Pallbearers will be nephews, Neal Parker of Tuscaloosa, Bobby Ray Parker of Reform, Greg Sanders of Tuscaloosa, Jimmy Sanders Jr. and Ricky Duffy of Gordo, Marlin Setser of Elrod, and Greg Epperson of Duncanville. Honorary pallbearers are all the staff of MICU at DCH Regional Medical Center with special thanks to Dr. Jeff Laubenthal and Lacy Quarles CRNP, Dr. M. Azam, and special friends Tommy and Margaret Brooker of Tuscaloosa and Doc Jackson of Coaling.
