Edward Erik Stephens TUSCALOOSA Beloved son, Edward Erik Stephens, age 38, passed away July 12, 2013. Erik was known as "Turk" to his Pappy and "Alf" to his friends and family. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Tuscaloosa First Assembly of God with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be today at 5 p.m. at the church. Erik was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Valeria Blizzard Stephens; father, Edward Stephens; and grandparents, Steve and Edna Stephens and Woodrow and Roma Duncan. He is survived by his mother and dad, Debbie and Ray Meggs; brother, Alex Meggs (Julie); sons, Gavin and Luke; and sister, Katherine Leigh Stephens. Erik loved his Brookwood High School band and his friends. He loved NASCAR and short wave radio and met people around the world through his call sign KG4SLJ. He attended Tuscaloosa First Assembly of God.
