Edna Ruth Hayden NORTHPORT | Edna Ruth Hayden, age 95, of Northport, died May 22, 2014, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Carrolls Creek Baptist Church with Brother Alan Roggli, Reverend George Jackson, and Brother Don Springer officiating. Burial will follow in Gordo City Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Hayden; son-in-law, John McCann; parents, two brothers and three sisters. Survivors include her daughters, Susan Baker (Eddie) of Tuscaloosa, Debbie McCann, and special daughter, Kelly Bailey (James); grandchildren, Brooke Jackson (Blake) and Tori McCann; great-grandchildren, Bryant Jackson and Braxton McCann; and special family, Scotty, Michelle, Matt Hallman and Ashley Fields. Ruth was a wonderful mother, Maw-Maw and friend to many. Heaven has received a great lady. She will be in our hearts forever. Pallbearers will be Crit McNutt, James Bailey, Blake Jackson, Eddie Hamner, Dalton Bobo, and BJ Bailey. Honorary pallbearers are Gloria Jackson, Penny McNutt, Chris and Bake Kyle, Caye Hamner, Friendship Sunday School class, Carrolls' Creek Baptist Church members, Heritage Health Care, and Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Carrolls Creek Baptist Church and Hospice of West Alabama.
