Dorothy Kyzer Stokes TUSCALOOSA Dorothy Kyzer Stokes, age 93, of Tuscaloosa, died Jan. 9, 2013. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Michael Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Trannie Barnett; her brothers, Ormund Barnett, Emory Barnett, and Garvice Barnett; her husbands, Joe Kyzer and Hollis Stokes; and her daughter, Linda Jo Kyzer Posey. Survivors include her grandchildren, Joseph Driver and Dana Cole; her son-in-law, John Driver; and her niece, Marianne Chappell. Dorothy was born July 19, 1919, and lived in Northport and Tuscaloosa. A Tuscaloosa County High School graduate, she worked as a loyal employee of Gulf States Paper for 48 years before her retirement. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Richard Chappell, Russell Chappell, John Bambarger, John Curry, Pete Hinton, and Jeff Hinton. Honorary pallbearers are Capron and Lavada Walker, Idalia Hollingsworth, Shirley Dudley, Harvey Fretwell, friends and neighbors of Northwood Lake, and members of St. Mark United Methodist McCollum Sunday School Class.
