Doris Thompson

Doris Eleanor Blake Thompson passed away on January 12, 2018. She was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on July 5, 1928. She loved the Lord, her family and friends, and lived her life helping others. Services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Taylorville Baptist Church with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Doris was predeceased by her husband, William Thomas Thompson, her parents Howard and Kitty Blake, brothers Howard and Eugene Blake, and sister Earline Blake Thweatt. She is survived by her daughter Delayne Culberson (Chuck) and her sons Randy Thompson (Peggy) and Neill Thompson (Sylvia); her sister Lois (Tootsie) Blake Tate; her granddaughter Heather Spinnler (Chris); her grandsons, Blake Culberson (Ashley), Grey, Bennett, Will, Matt and John Thompson; her great-grandchildren Peyton, Chase and Brooks Spinnler and Aubrey and Mary Taylor Culberson; and many nephews and nieces. She attended Taylorville Baptist Church and services will be held there on Conducting the service will be The Reverend Curtis Kelley and The Reverend Mike Griffin.
