Dora Beatrice “Bea” Connell

Dora Beatrice “Bea” Connell, age 83, of Buhl, Alabama, passed away July 26, 2024 at her residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Magnolia Chapel North with Rev. David Kelly officiating. Burial will follow in Williamson Cemetery in Northport, Ala., with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Bud Connell, parents; Thomas King, Sr., and Olene King, brother; Thomas A. King, Jr. and daughter-in-law; Margaret Connell.

 She is survived by her sons; Dennis Connell, Douglas Connell (Holli), Ricky Mutt Connell (Rhonda), grandchildren; Curtis Connell, Chris Connell, Elizabeth Connell Hamner (Blake), Matthew Connell (Ashley), Candace Connell Hartley (Brian), Joshua Connell, great grandchildren; Tristan Connell, Stella Hartley, Alice Hartley, Lily Jo Hamner, Grady Hamner, Ollie Bud Hamner, Emery Connell, Anna Rylee Connell and Koen Connell.

Bea was a devoted wife and mother for over 55 years. Her love for her family was unmatched. She will be greatly missed, especially because of her spunky attitude and personality. She is at peace now reunited with her husband and brother that she sorely missed for years.  Thanks to Dr. Stephen Browne, West Alabama Hospice, Northport Pharmacy for their care for her. Also a special thanks to Sue Pate for her help and care in her final days. Also others that stepped up to help and you know who you are…. thank you. 

Pallbearers will be Matthew Connell, Joshua Connell, Curtis Connell, Chris Connell, and Tristan Connell. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Stephen Browne and staff, West Alabama Hospice and staff, and Aubrey Boothe.
