Diane Duke Shaddix

Diane Duke Shaddix, age 74 of Northport passed away July 20, 2023 at Hospice of West Alabama. a graveside service will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 10:00 am at Dunn's Creek Cemetery with Rev. Heath Cooper officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home directing.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents J. P. and Minnie Duke and husband of 54 years George Shaddix.

Survivors include her sons: Gregory (Leanne) Shaddix of Woodstock, GA and Jonathan (Katie) Shaddix of Northport, AL, brother: Johnny (Marilyn) Duke of Valley, AL and her grandchildren: Garrett Shaddix (13) and Jacob Shaddix (9) of Northport, AL.

Diane was a loving and giving woman who always had a special heart for her close family. She served alongside George in a ministry spanning over forty years, with a focus on teaching children and leading youth softball teams through the years. She was married for 54 years to the love of her life George, and was fiercely loyal to her boys Greg and Jonathan. Grandchildren Garrett and Jacob were the light of her days. She will be greatly missed on this earth, but we rejoice that she is now in her heavenly home and reunited with her love no longer in pain or confusion.
