Gordon Evans COTTONDALE -Gordon Evans, age 59, of Cottondale, Ala., died December 12, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2016 at Carroll's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Alan Roggli. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be today, December 15, 2016, at the funeral home from 6 -8 p.m. He was preceded in death by Hobert Evans, Joey Bradshaw, Jon Bradshaw, Sr., Johnny Abernathy and Chuck Shirley. Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Belinda Bradshaw Evans; daughter, Nicole Griffin (Lee); son, Adam Evans (Heather) and Ryan Evans (Ashley); sisters, Blenda Given (Donald) and Dana Given (Jeff); sisters-in-law, Donna Fay Shirley and Susan Hallman; brother, Tony Evans; niece, Jasmine, mother, Barbara Ponds (Pat); mother-in-law, Clara Abernathy; grandchildren, Brody, Brandon, Bayleigh, Savannah and Whitney Evans, Kyle Day and Alexys and Denny Griffin; great-grandchildren, Kaleb and Kyleigh Evans. Gordon was a wonderful son, brother, husband, father and "Paw paw" and friend to all here on earth. He is now our "angel in Heaven". Pallbearers will be Kenny Lee, Joel Hamner, Tony (Mouth) brothers, Chris White, Eric Shirley and Steven (P.J.) Pearson. Honorary pallbearers are employees, staff and customers of Russell S. Lee Floor and Tile.
