Danny Ray Sanford NORTHPORT - Danny Ray Sanford, age 54, died November 30, 2016 at his residence. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Bobby Sanford and Bro. Larry Colburn officiating. Burial will follow in Elrod Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the chapel with Magnolia Chapel North directing. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sanford; sister, Gail Sanford; and grandparents, Grady and Louella Falls and Thomas and Laudie Sanford. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Sanford of Northport, Ala.; daughters, Misty Hopson (David), Chana Hewitt (Justin), Chelsy Sanford (Ted) Sasha Sanford; stepdaughter, Caitlin Browning; son, Chris Mott (Lisa); brothers, Terry Sanford, Gary Sanford, Ed Sanford and Nathan Sanford; parents, Mary Sue Taylor and stepfather, Gilbert Taylor; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends. Danny was always known for having a heart of gold and a kind word and a smile for everyone. People would often comment about what a hard worker he was and how strong he was physically. Danny loved his family with all of his heart and leaves behind a whole host of loved ones. This is not good bye; it is only see you later. He will be missed so deeply by all those who loved him. Pallbearers will be David Hopson, Justin Hewitt, Ted Denton, Chris Sanford, Les Sanford and Randy Falls.
