Curry Stevens Moffitt TUSCALOOSA - Curry Stevens Moffitt, age 39, died February 23, 2017 at DCH Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2017 at ValleyVeiw Baptist Church with Bro. Ron Wilson officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 12 noon - 2 p.m. with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Howard E. Moffitt, Opal C. Moffitt, George E. Mills (Pete), Martha N. Mills. Survivors include his fiancé, Krista Klemm; daughter, Halle Moffitt; sister, Mindy Crawford (Chad); parents, Howard S. Moffitt (Steve) and Nancy Mills Moffitt. Curry was a graduate of the 1995 class of Central High School. He followed in his fathers' footsteps and graduated from Alabama Fire College in 1998. He served a lieutenant/paramedic for 19 years with Northport Fire Rescue. He was loved by anyone that met him, was always willing to lend a helping hand and was the consummate entertainer. There will be a void in many people's hearts with his passing. Honorary pallbearers are Northport Fire and Rescue, Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue, Hoover Fire Department, David Stewart, Zack Drake, Russell Morrison, Randy Tunnell, Rob Cooper and Camo Dreams, Inc.
