Coy Perrigin

Coy L. Perrigin NORTHPORT Coy L. Perrigin, age 85, of Northport, died June 1, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Bro. Archer Thrope and Bro. Tony Latham officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary L. Perrigin; his parents, John O. and Mary Perrigin; his sisters, Myrtle Hughes, Elsie Price, Irene, Lorene, and Susie; and his brother, John G. (Gilbert) Perrigin. Survivors include his daughters, Dot Rainwater (Robert) and Judy Houston (Browder); sons, Raymond (Bud) Perrigin (Peggy), Jerry Perrigin (Dianne), and Benny Perrigin; and grandchildren, Lisa Dawkins, Lynn Harrison, Raymond (Buddy), Brian Richie, Steve Perrigin, Kim Barger, Robbie Rainwater, Ryan Rainwater, Kara Pulmano, Keith Houston, Krystal Lemmons, Ben Perrigin, and Nick Perrigin. Coy was born in Carrollton, Ala., June 26, 1927. He finished high school in 1945. He married Mary L. Cowart on November 24, 1944. He was a member of Union Hill Freewill Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be Steve Perrigin, Nick Perrigin, Ben Perrigin, Keith Perrigin, Robbie Rainwater, and Ryan Rainwater. Honorary pallbearers are Gemo Lancaster, Bobby Cowart, Fred Cowart, ACCU 2nd floor DCH, Hospice of West Alabama, staff and residents of Merrill Gardens, Dr. Warren Holley, Dr. Arti Pandey, and Dr. Bruce Atkins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
