Constance Woods

Connie Woods, age 49, of Fayette, died April 28, 2011, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Joe Jones and Rayford Rice officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Morris Pearson, and her grandparents, Richard Minor and Mussetti Minor. Survivors include her husband, Dale Woods; her daughter, Brittany Woods; her son, Brandon Woods; her stepsisters, Kathy Neal and Amy Davis; her brothers, Samuel Mark Pearson and Brian Keith Pearson; and her mother and stepfather, Judith M. Shaul and Charles A. Shaul. She was a loving mother to two children, ages 20 and 21. She fought a hard fight against breast cancer since it was discovered in November of 2009. She always enjoyed a good laugh and will be greatly missed by all. Pallbearers will be Daniel Shelby, Connor Aultman, Dalton Farley, Craig Woods, Byron Hocutt, and Sean Westbrook. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Yerby and staff and nurses at Fayette Medical Center, Salem Baptist Church, friends at the UA Student Health Center, and family and friends.
