Clovis Box NORTHPORT - Clovis ""Cotton"" Box, age 83, of Northport, died August 6, 2017, at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Eddie Gilpin officiating. Burial will follow in Mayfield Church of Christ Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cleatus and Cleaburne Box; and sisters, Verla Wright, Vern McDonald and Vaudine Miles. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Beulah Box; son, Gary Box (Teressa); sister, Verta Box; brothers, C.W. Box and Clyde Box; grandchildren, Hannah Raines (Corey), Rachael Box, D'atra Montgomery and Austin Milligan; and one great-grandson, Foster Raines. He loved his church family, garden, fishing and mission trips to Tanzania. Honorary pallbearers are members of Mayfield Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Tanzania Mission Fund with checks payable to North Tuscaloosa Church of Christ.
