Clevie Carpenter McMillan | TUSCALOOSA Clevie Carpenter McMillan of Tuscaloosa died Jan. 29, 2012, at Moundville Nursing Home. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Bro. Raymond Robertson and Bro. Ed King officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert McMillan; parents, Hinton and Vannie Carpenter; sister, Zell Mills; brothers, Josh, Jamie, and H.C. Carpenter; and granddaughter, Nancy Bridges. Survivors include her daughters, Nell Wyatt (Stanley) and Annette Bridges (A.G.) all of Tuscaloosa; son, Robert McMillan Jr. (Virginia) of Tuscaloosa; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; faithful niece, Norma Ball; special friend, Betty Oliver; and beloved doctors, Scott Fulgham and Omer Baker. Clevie, a member of Rosedale Baptist Church, was known for her kindness and generosity. She loved her family and friends, enjoyed traveling, and lived life to the fullest. Her family will always be thankful for her love, support, and Christian guidance. Pallbearers will be Vince and Vincent Jr. Wyatt; Glenn, Colin, and Cole Bridges; Greg Bridges; Robby McMillan; Blake Burroughs; and Josh Bolton. Honorary pallbearers are Sarah's Sunday school class, friends of Rosedale Baptist Church, Rev. Billy Gray and Margaret, Rev. Ed Steelman and Katherine, Rev. Ed King and Shirley, Billy Ryan and Delores, Ed and Clara Herrington, and Fraces Crow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Big Sandy Cemetery Fund, c/o George Hinton, 14086 Phares Hinton Rd., Tuscaloosa, AL 35405.
