NORTHPORT - Claude Preston Malone, Jr., age 81, of Northport, Ala., passed away February 20, 2018 at his residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018, at Sardis Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Dan Turman, Rev. Jackie Adcox, Rev. Tony Latham and Rev. Roger Lucas officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be 12:30 - 2 p.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018, at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude P. Malone, Sr. and Adell Malone; sisters, Dorothy Redding (Doc) and Betsy Phillips (Walter); brother-in-law, Frederick Gilliland; and mother of his children, Eloise Malone.
Survivors include his wife Johnnie C. Malone; daughters, Theresa Malone and Tonya Trawick (James); son, Claude Preston Malone, III (Nikki); stepdaughters, Carol Lagrone and Kim Crowe (Lanny); sisters, Bobbie M. Gilliland and Mavis Robertson (Winston) and Linda M. Robertson (Archie); brother, Robert Joe Malone (Gwen); sister-in-law, Sue Miller (Buford); grandchildren, Candice Faulkner (Brad), Landon Morris, Brandi Trawick, Mandi Trawick, Claude Preston Malone, IV, Joe Malone, and Suzie Malone; great-grandchildren, Lacie Nails, Bryson Sharp and Olivia Faulkner; and five step-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Preston Malone, IV, Joe Malone, Landon Morris, Brad Faulkner, Bryson Sharp, Wesley Robertson, Darryl Robertson, Phillip Gilliland and James Trawick.
Honorary pallbearers are Donald and Rachel Montgomery, Pam and Huey Williams, Sonny and Clementine Adams, Dr. Brian Wilhite, Dr. Ramdeen, Ramonia Wright, Shannie Crews, Alacare, Sardis Church and all friends.
