Christina White

NORTHPORT - Christina Lynn White, age 46, of Northport, Ala., passed away January 4, 2019 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. Her Memorial Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2019, at Northport Baptist Church with Pastor John Loyd Baker and Bill McDonald officiating.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry Lynn and Beverly Jane Gray Chapman and Jessie W. and Georgia Pearson.

Survivors include her parents, Billy and Margaret White; and sister, Michelle Baker (Loyd).

She was born January 31, 1972 in Reform, Ala. and graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1990. She attended Mississippi State University on scholarship. She worked as a trainer with basketball and football for two years. She then returned to Northport to become an EMT. While working with NorthStar EMS, she became an RN and worked at DCH NICU. She also worked at Children's Hospital in Birmingham in the Oncology Unit. She later became a travel nurse working in NICU.

In her final years, she became disabled due to health problems. However, she kept her strong faith and Christian witness. Her life could be summed up in three words: She loved Jesus.
