Charlotte Jean Sullivan Phillips
TUSCALOOSA - Charlotte Jean Sullivan Phillips, age 71, died September 20, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Phillips Chapel with Rev. Jerry Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Phillips Chapel Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Saturday, September 22, 2018, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Edwin Phillips; parents, Robert Sullivan and Melba Breland; and brother, Dale Sullivan.
Survivors include her step father, Wallace Breland; daughters, Denestia Hamner (Craig) and Jeaneice Berryhill (Shane); brother, Jerry Sullivan; sister, Bobbie Robertson (Shane); and grandchildren, Samantha, Casey and Brianna Berryhill and Courtney Hamner; and lifelong friend, Olene Bigham Harper.
She was a loving step daughter, momma, granny, sister, aunt, neighbor and friend.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Jeff Rice, Roger Lindsey, Damon Townsend, Calvin Kuykendall, Stewart Abernathy and Joey Sullivan.
Honorary pallbearers are family and friends, Samantha Volunteer Fire Department; Northstar Ambulance Service, Dr. Ranju Chandrashekariah, Katherine Grelle; staff and doctors at DCH Regional Medical Center Emergency Department; Staff in the NSICU at UAB, Dr. Mark Harrigan, staff at Aspire Rehab Center, staff at Forest Manor Rehab, Staff in the TSICU at DCH Regional Medical Center, Dr. Bryan Givhan, DCH Hospitalist Physician Group; staff at Hospice of West Alabama, Dr. John Miller and the Samantha Community. The family would like to say a special thanks to all the friends and family for all their help during or family's time of need. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Phillips requested that donations be made to Phillips Chapel Cemetery Fund.
