MOUNDVILLE } Charlie Ben Elliott (Charlie Ben) ,Sr. age 80 , of Moundville, died August 15, 2018 at Hospice of West Alabama. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 17, 2018, at Havana Methodist Church Cemetery with Bro. Jason Duckett officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Thursday, August 16, 2018, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

He is preceded in death by his parents;Charles and Susanna Hines Elliott, son; Benji Elliott; daughter; Joyce Kelley and grandson; Brad Gray.

Survivors include his daughters; Marye Anna Murray, and Melony Smithson (Jeff) , son in law; David Kelley, grandchildren; Mike Gray (Melissa), Kyle Smithson (Mallory), Caroline Crawford (Grayson) , Sam Kelley (Allison), and Ben Kelley and numerous great grandchildren.

Charlie Ben was retired from Alabama Power Company. He loved sports and all pets. He was blessed with the gift of a generous heart.

Pallbearers will be his grandsons and son in laws. Honorary pallbearers will be the Havana Junction "breakfast bunch", Bill Hill, Mitt Tubbs,Sr. and other close friends.
