Charles Shirley

Charles "Chuck" Shirley, Jr., age 51, of Gordo, died June 19, 2011, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Olivet "Beaver Dam" Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ray Woolbright officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Wednesday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Donna Fay Shirley; daughter, Melissa Myers (Jason); sons, Jeremy Shirley, Brad Shirley, and Eric Shirley (Chelsea); sister, Sonja Baldwin; Brothers, Greg Shirley (Cindy) and Haley Shirley (Doris); mother, Elizabeth Shirley; grandchildren, Lauren Shirley, Blaine Driggers, Madison Shirley, and James Shirley; sister-in-law, Belinda Evans (Gordon) and Susan Hallman; parent-in-laws, Clara and Johnny Abernathy and Joe and Peggy Bradshaw; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be Adam Evans, Jonathan Shirley, Ryan Evans, Jerry Edge, Marcus Templeton, and Jimmy St. John. Honorary Pallbearers are Reba and T.J. Shirley, Dave Anders, Rita Law, Kelly Law, Bryant Drywall, Kirk Fire Department, Flatwoods community, friends and other relatives.
