Charles Horne

Charles F. Horne Sr. age 85, passed away at home on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, surrounded by his family. Fred was born March 27, 1935, in Marion AL. He is proceeded by his wife Hazel Mccray Horne, parents George M Horne Sr., Eloise Rae Lee Horne, One sister and three brothers. He is survived by his sister Evelyn Horne Lewis, dear friend Blanche Graham, close friend Joey Kay, his four children Carol (Billy Jack) Ralston, Charles (Donna) Horne, Pam (Les) Markham, Mike (Christine) Shelnut, and was blessed with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Fred was a resident of Pine Valley Independent Living Community for the past three years. Fred was known as the cute little man who always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed singing in the choir and dancing with the ladies. He will forever be loved and missed by all those who knew him. The family would like to give a heartfelt thanks to the residents and staff at Pine Valley Community, Dr. Harrell and to Outpatient Hospice of West Alabama. A graveside service will be held at the Moundville Cemetery Friday, August 14, 2020, at 10:00 AM. Joey Kay will be officiating the service. Magnolia Chapel North will be directing. The family request the service to be private.
