Charles L. Hall NORTHPORT - Charles L. Hall, age 81, of Northport, Ala., died September 16, 2016. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2016, at Northwood Hills Baptist Church with Rusty Selman officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be today, September 18, 2016, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Neacy and Chester Hall and sister, Evelyn Hall. Survivors include his wife, Martha Fisher Hall; daughters, Valorie Lanier (Joseph) and Dana Sanders (Shane); son, Rodney Hall (Lynn); grandchildren, Farrah Williams (Taylor), Erica Holmes (Josh), Randy Hall, Brandy Posey (Chad), Hannah Livingston (Seth), Josiah Lanier, Carmen Sanders, Callie Sanders and Luke Sanders; and 12 great-grandchildren. Charles was born in Gordo, Ala. He was an employee at Gulf States Paper and retired from the University of Alabama. He enjoyed living on the lake and spending time with his family and was in the Navy Reserves for eight years. Pallbearers will be Josiah Lanier, Lucas Sanders, Logan Brehm, Josh Holmes, Seth Livingston, Taylor Williams, Randy Hall and Chad Posey. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. John Warren and staff, Dr. G. Phil Hemstreet and staff, Northwood Hills Baptist Church, Morgan Sunday School Class, DCH Regional Medical Center ACCU, UAB CCU, TCHS Class of 1954, Michele Lesley, Anna McIlwain, walking buddies at the Phelps Center, Patti Harbinson, Katie Patton, Martha Sanders, neighbors of Lakewood Loop and Amedisys Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Northwood Hills Baptist Church Building Fund.
