Charles L. Gant DUNCANVILLE - Charles L. Gant, age 71, of Duncanville, Ala., died June 23, 2016, at home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South with Ray Hallman officiating. Burial will follow in Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his father, Grady Gant; mother, Doris Gant; and brother, Lester Gant. Survivors include his wife, Linda Gant; step sons, Micky Hayden (Angela) and Danny Hayden (Christy); brother, Gradis Gant (Barbara); and grandchildren, Ashley Coons (Bryan) and Heather, Josh and Wesley Hayden. Charles retired from BellSouth after 31 years. Pallbearers will be Micky Hayden, Danny Hayden, Josh Hayden, Bryan Coons, Tripp Harrison, Joe Lane and Don Pearson. Honorary pallbearers are Duncanville Baptist Church, former BellSouth employees and Davita Dialysis Center. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Duncanville Baptist Church.
