Charles Coker ECHOLA - Charles Coker, age 79, of Echola, Ala., died June 4, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Dunn's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Alfred Banks officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Coker; son, Mark Coker; mother, Evie Coker; sister, Linda Lawson; and aunt, Eva Hayes. Survivors include his daughter, Susan Banks (Alfred); sons, Shane Coker (Ashley), Shannon Coker (Kim) and Tim Frazier (Melissa); sisters, Shirley Hunter (James), Joyce Perkins (Charles), Bonnie Lynn (Elbert), Marilyn Elliott (Bert) and Janice Kincaid (Bill); brother, Sonny Coker (Brenda); grandchildren, Courtney Banks, Amanda Banks Shank (Ben), Adam Banks (Haleigh), Jordan Coker, Grayson Coker, Carson Coker, Carly Coker and Lauren Coker, Douglas Frazier and Ashlee Frazier Cannon (Blake); great-granddaughter, Daisy Banks; cousins, Tommy Hayes and Sharron Stone; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Coker owned and operated Coker's Body Shop in Northport for over 50 years. He loved to work repairing cars and made sure all of his customers were always fully satisfied. Thank you to all of his loyal customers and businesses who have been with our family during his lifetime. We will miss our Daddy, Daddy Charles and ""Cha-Cha"" greatly but know he is rejoicing in Heaven. Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Jordan Coker, Grayson Coker, Carson Coker, Adam Banks, Ben Shank and Douglas Frazier. Honorary pallbearers are Coker's Body Shop current and past employees, friends and neighbors of Echola, Buddy Hall's breakfast friends, Mr. Bill's lunch table, Gail Duncan, Elaine Brown, DCH Regional Medical Center and Northport Medical Center doctors and staff, especially Dr. Cooley, Dr. Simpson, Dr. Newsome, Dr. Shamblin, Dr. Alldredge and nurses, Crystal House and JP Murphy. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association .
