Carolyn Prewitt

Carolyn Price Prewitt, age 73, of Northport, Alabama, passed away January 16, 2025 at her residence. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2025, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Martin Houston and Bro. David Cottingham officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Magnolia Chapel North directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Magnolia Chapel North.

She was preceded death by her parents, Ben and Addean Price; and one sister, Jeanne Price Smothers of Fayette, Alabama.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Prewitt; daughter, Courtney Prewitt Boothe (Joseph); sons, Addam Prewitt (Alicia); brother, Scotty Price of Fayette, Ala.; and grandchildren, Cadden, Addison, Avery, Cailey, and Ace.

She was a special needs teacher for thirty-four years and touched the lives of many children over the years. Her students were like her own children, even years of bringing them home with her. She was an avid book reader and grandkid spoiler. She found immense joy in the company of her family. She treasured time spent with her grandchildren, whether attending their sporting events or shopping. She loved family vacations to the beach and camping with her church family and friends. She will be missed by her family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Prewitt, Bob Prewitt, Scotty Price, Ben Price, Doug Rhinehart, and Roy Gann.

Honorary pallbearers are Russell Price, Senior Adult class of Harvest Church and Valley View Baptist Church.
