Carolyn S. Chandler, age 94 of Moundville, passed away on December 30, 2020 at home. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery on Monday, January 4, 2021 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Michael Cobb officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing.
She is preceded in death by her parents; Charles and Arie Seale, siblings; Bob Seale, Gene Seale, Charlie Seale, Ellis Seale, Dr. Mutt Seale, Verlie Seale Britton.
She is survived by her daughter; Billie K. Chandler Lawley (Michael), son; Steve Chandler, grandchildren; Michael Brown, Forrest Brown (Christin), and Hope Smith and great grandchild; Bryleigh Brown.
Carolyn was a long-time member of Moundville Methodist Church where she was heavily involved in the church. She worked as the coordinator for Golden Years in Hale County for over thirty years. She received her business degree from Massey College in Birmingham, Alabama. Carolyn was a lifelong citizen of Moundville where she was an ambassador of the community. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and Gigi. Her shoes (especially those infamous high heels) will never be filled.
Pallbearers are Michael Brown, Forrest Brown, Clay Chandler, Carl Brown, David Smith, and Mitt Tubbs.
Honorary pallbearers are Hospice of West Alabama, Dr. Larry Skelton, Don Seale, and Trent Taylor.
In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Moundville Methodist Church.
