Carla Jo Grimes

Carla Jo Grimes, 51, beloved Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend was called to her eternal resting place on December 6, 2024 at DCH Regional Medical Center. She entered this world on February 24, 1973 in Eutaw, AL, born to Joe and Billie Grimes. Services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Clinton with Bro. Wade McCrory officiating and Magnolia Chapel South directing, burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Carla is preceded in death by her mother; Billie Grimes.

She is survived by her daughter Tristyn Jones (Ward Abrams); son Houston Jones (Olivia Jones); father; Joe Grimes; brother Randy Grimes (Allison); sister Cheryl Grimes; brother Joey Grimes (Tiffany), her best friend Johna Madison (Johnny), and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carla enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and going to the river with her children. She loved all sports, but especially watching her son play baseball. She was an avid lover of all animals. Carla was a graduate of Warrior Academy Class of 1991, where she was a member of the 1990 State Championship Softball Team and attended Shelton State Community College.

Pallbearers will be John Averett, Dalton Averett, Ben Grimes, Joseph Grimes, Larry Dale Clark, and Terry Clark. Honorary pallbearers are Warrior Academy Class of 1991, Rod Laduron, Nich and Garrett Parker and Family, Wesley Mullinax, Andy Wheeler, and Grady and Lonnie Grimes.
