Carl Blake Hamner, age 36, of Northport, Alabama, passed away January 20, 2025 at DCH Regional Medical Center. His Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Magnolia Chapel North with Bro. Randy Pate officiating and Magnolia Chapel North directing.
He was preceded in death by his granddaddy, Hoyt Hamner; MeMe and PawPaw, Johnny and Gay Simmons.
Survivors include his parents, Carl and Kim Hamner; brother, Justin Hamner (Christina); grandmother, Janie Hamner; niece, Scarlett; nephew, Finn; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and best friends, Brad Lake, Chris Whitten, Chris Register, and Webb Bellinger.
Blake was saved as a young boy in the living room at Randy and Penny Pate's home. Blake lived life to the beat of his own drum. He had a heart of gold and loved unconditionally. Early in life, Blake enjoyed playing all sports. Many hours were spent with his daddy in a batting cage. Fond memories were with so many others at Kentuck Park. As life went on Blake made some really terrible choices and for those he suffered. God forgives out sins, but there are still consequences. Blake had an old soul. Carl and Kim could not be gone from home for very long before Blake would be calling to see where they were and when they would be home. Blake's precious heart never wavered from the love he had for his parents, grandmother, friends and family. Blake's time on Earth would not be long but it was enjoyed going to Panic shows and escaping in the music. We love you son; and will forever miss you! Isaiah 41:10.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to The Children's Hospital of Alabama.
