Carl Browder

Carl Woodrow "Woody" Browder, Jr., age 76, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died May 15, 2017. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Double Portion Church with Pastor Hayes Moss officiating. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Agnes Browder and brother, Joe Browder. Survivors include his wife, Mallie Lake Browder; daughters, Betsy Koger (Greg), Marion Campbell (John) and Emily Norris (Josh); sons, Trey Browder (Kim), Pete Browder (Sandy) and Clete Browder (Molly); and grandchildren, Shonna Browder, Carley Browder, Carey Browder, Wells Campbell, Mallie Campbell, Lewis Campbell, Austin Campbell, Marion Norris, Ellen Norris and Mark Norris. Woody was a graduate of the University of Alabama. He manufactured hardwood veneer for 57 years, primarily in Eutaw, Ala. He was president of The Full Gospel Business Men Association in the late 1980's. He was a bold and devoted disciple of the Lord, whom he loved fiercely and who he shared with others fearlessly. For all who knew him, he leaves behind a legacy of biblical truths and lessons for living that will touch generations. His Lord and Savior was not a treasure to hold but a life giving gift that he wanted the world to know.
