Bruce Edward Barrett
August 26, 1960 - June 8, 2021

Bruce Edward Barrett of Moundville, passed away at his residence on June 8, 2021 at sixty years of age. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ralph & Ellen Barrett; his paternal grandparents; and his maternal grandparents, Lee Griffin & Evie Griffin Sledge. Bruce is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Thomas and her husband Matthew Lambert, his brother, David Ralph Barrett, Jennifer's mother, Alicia Thomas Maddox (John), as well as numerous cousins and relatives.

Bruce loved to spend time outdoors to play basketball, shoot, hunt, and fish. He enjoyed helping people in the community, spending time with his dogs, and walking among the mounds at Moundville State Park. In his recent writings, he expressed his gratefulness for the kindness of others and for God and his blessings.

Magnolia Chapel South Funeral Home of Tuscaloosa is hosting Bruce's memorial service and celebration of life at 2 PM on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. His ashes will be spread around a memorial tree to be planted at a later date near his daughter's home.
