Bobby Lee Snyder COKER | Bobby Lee Snyder, age 82, of Coker, went home to be with the Lord October 14, 2014, at Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, at Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Greg Tucker officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Deal Snyder and Louise Parsons Snyder; his wife, Carolyn Wynona Snyder; and brother, Richard Snyder. Survivors include his son, Bobby Lee Snyder, Jr. (Sherry); daughter, Lisa Watkins (Lindsey); grandchildren, David Snyder (Andrea), Ben Snyder (Mary Frances), Mark Snyder, Jacob Watkins, Victoria Gee (Tommy) and Lesli White (Dusty); and great-grandchildren, Ruby Snyder, Dylan Rose Snyder, Nora Snyder and Robin Gee. Bobby graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1950, was a member of Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church and retired from Northport National Guard and Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He was a veteran of the Korean War, retiring as a Sgt. First Class from Northport National Guard. Honorary pallbearers are coworkers at U of A Event Management, staff of Eagles Cove VAMC, special friends Virginia Barksdale, Martha Lee, and Darlene Martin and friends and neighbors of Lake Robinwood and Coker communities. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Cancer Society or Coker Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
