Blanche Lee Quarles TUSCALOOSA | Blanche Lee Quarles, age 95, of Tuscaloosa, quietly slipped away in her sleep to be with Jesus on January 12, 2014, at Regency Retirement Village where she was loved by all there. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North with Rev. Rock Stone officiating. Burial will follow in Grants Creek Cemetery with Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home North directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Quarles; parents, Lueddie and Elzie Lyman; and daughter, Shirley McGinnis. She leaves behind sons, Charles E. Quinn of Tuscaloosa and Richard Quinn of Ohio; daughters, Carlene Martin of Tuscaloosa and Barbara and Ken Woods of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She lived a very long, happy life. She was a loving, caring, joyful, faithful mother, wife, sister, grandmother and friend. She loved babies and children. Being in her presence was a pleasure for all, for her sense of humor would bring you sunshine on a cloudy day. She was known as a beautiful and classy woman who loved to dress up. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone who came to know her. We will not say goodbye, but we will see her again one day in heaven. Pallbearers will be great-grandsons, Shane McBride, Matthew Quarles, Brandon Rushing, Tony Quarles, Jr., Brock Rushing and Lyle Rushing.
