Billy Rushing

Billy G. Rushing TUSCALOOSA | Billy G. (B.G.) Rushing, age 88, of Tuscaloosa, died June 17, 2014, at home. Memorial services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014, at Magnolia Chapel South with Father Deasy and Ray Wilkins officiating and Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home South directing. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:30 to 3:30 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael G. Rushing; sisters, Lenora Hutchins, Alda Hutchins and Ettaline Skelton; parents, Ozella and Goldman Rushing; and brother, Preston Rushing. Survivors include his wife, Betty Rushing; daughter, Vickie Snow; son-in-law, Bobby Snow; adopted son, Ray Wilkins (Katie); grandchildren, Morgan DeFreese (Jake) and Blair Gibson (Wes); and great-grandchildren, Kylan and Madison DeFreese and Isabelle DeFreese. He was an avid bass fisherman. He belonged to the Red Man Association and owned B.G's Rod and Reel Repair. He was a World War II veteran. He was a great dad and papa to his family. As our family always said "They don't make them like B.G." In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice Amedisys.
